Description Exile from Olynthus (about Wilhelmina van Ingen Elarth) began as part of a chapter for a book based on Dessy's research in Virginia Tech's Special Collections, Ms69-004. "Mapping the Blues Genes, Early Blues Music: 1900-1930" is an essay that examines the mutations of the "genes" which led to the expression of the early blues. Imbedded in the text are numerous examples of lyrics and cover-art from 1904-1928.
